Château de Bligny

Founded in 1773 on the remains of a medieval fortress, Château de Bligny was established by the Marquis de Dampierre on the limestone-rich slopes of the Côte des Bar. The estate weathered decades of challenges from phylloxera and changing ownership to lying fallow under German occupation during World War II.

In 1999, the Rapeneau family rediscovered and restored the château, honoring its architectural grandeur and preserving its period interiors while reviving winemaking at the site. Today, Château de Bligny is a standout château-grower estate in Champagne; grapes are grown, pressed, vinified, and bottled entirely on the property. Each bottle embodies the unique terroir of the Aube and the dedication of those who revived its legacy.

Château de Bligny remains a vibrant testament to history, craftsmanship, and the timeless art of Champagne.
